(Lathyrus odoratus) A well scented and uniform pink spencer sweet pea. Named for the newspaper's centenary by Andrew Beane and reflecting the long relationship between the Daily Mail and this wonderful flower. In 1911 The Daily Mail ran a competition to grow the best specimins, attravting 35,000 entries (amazingly a husband and wife collected first and third prizes).
